Privacy Policy

Recipes is a recipe app made by a small team. The short version: your recipes are yours, we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we don't show ads, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address and name, used to sign you in and identify your recipes. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Your content. The recipes, photos, collections, grocery lists and family groups you create. These are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure.
• Links you share to the app. When you import a recipe, the link (and the public content behind it) is processed by our extraction pipeline so we can turn it into a recipe. This uses Google's Gemini API and a content-fetch service; they process the content to produce your recipe and are not permitted to use it to advertise to you.
• Purchase state. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to know which plan your account is on. We never see your payment details.
• Push token. If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can tell you when an import is ready.

What we don't do

• No ads, no ad tracking, no selling or renting data to anyone.
• No reading of your recipes for anything other than showing them to you and the people you share them with.
• No social features you didn't ask for: recipes are only visible to others when you make them public or share them.

Sharing

When you create a share link or make a recipe public, that recipe (title, photo, ingredients, method, and your display name) becomes visible to anyone with the link, including on the web. You can revoke share links and make recipes private at any time.

Deleting your data

Deleting a recipe removes it and its photos from our storage. Deleting your account removes your profile and all your content. You can do both in the app, or email us and we'll do it for you.
